Alexey Shved led Russian National Team to a massive 75-72 victory over Serbia! Our superstar led all scorers with 22 points adding 4 assists. Dmitry Khvostov added 4 points and 5 assists, Fridzon 3, Ivlev 2, zubkov did not score. Congrats to our players and coaches!
A magnificent and utterly clutch downtown bucket by Alexey Shved helped Russia upset Group C hosts Turkey 76-73 in “Ulker Arena”.
With 25 seconds remaining and the score 68-69, Shved took matters into his own hands and nailed the three-pointer off the dribble to make it a two possession game. He finished with a team-high 22 points plus 4 assists. Vitaly Fridzon, Andrey Zubkov and Dmitry Khvostov scored 8 points each, Vladimir Ivlev added 2 for our coach Sergey Bazarevich. Congrats and on to the next one!
